Local GP Federation Thanks Reigate Community As It Hosts Final Vaccination Clinic At Woodhatch Site

Local GP Federation, Alliance for Better Care, has expressed its thanks to the team at its Woodhatch Place vaccination site as it closes the doors on its final vaccination clinic.

Woodhatch Place was one of ABC’s earliest vaccination sites, launching in December 2020 within the first few weeks of the programme starting. Since its early beginnings, the team has administered more than 90,000 Covid vaccinations, and in August welcomed the new NHS Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard as part of her first official visit in her new capacity.

ABC plans to resume the delivery of clinical services from a new site in the area in September and hopes to confirm plans shortly.

Dr Jonathan Leung, ABC Medical Director at the site said: “Woodhatch Place has played a vital role in our vaccination programme and it has been a pleasure to work alongside Reigate & Banstead and Surrey County Councils, as well as our staff and outstanding team of volunteers. We have received incredible support from the entire community and look forward to delivering more services in September.”
ABC will be able to meet the ongoing demand for vaccinations in the area via clinics at Birchwood Medical Practice in Horley. Bookings can be made via the national booking system: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or patients can check dates for Walk-In sessions on ABC’s site: https://abcltd.org.uk/covid-vaccination-programme/walk-in-clinics/
ABC has now administered more than 720,000 vaccination doses across East Surrey and Mid-Sussex, having launched 10 vaccination sites since the campaign began in December 2020.
