Every year in July, Samaritans branches in the UK and Republic of Ireland hold local events to raise awareness that Samaritans are here to listen to anyone who's struggling to cope, at any time of the day or night.

Disability pride month

Event Category:

A chance to focus on and celebrate the disabled community and their pride. Alongside the celebration, the month is also a chance to kickstart conversations about disability experiences and issues.

Zero HIV stigma day

Event Category:

Global movement uniting people, communities, and entire countries to raise awareness of HIV and take action to end HIV Stigma in all its forms.

Samaritans awareness day

Event Category:

24 July (24/7) is Samaritans Awareness Day, because they are here to listen 24/7. On this date and throughout July, Samaritans will be running their awareness-raising campaign Talk to Us, to remind people that we’re here for anyone who needs someone to listen.  

National Schizophrenia Awareness Day

Event Category:

Shining a light on the everyday challenges faced by those living with a diagnosis of schizophrenia whilst looking at how we can tackle some of the stigma and discrimination surrounding this much-misunderstood illness.

Cycle to work day
