Inclusion Pays – new report launch

Inclusion Pays
Preventing crisis. Reducing cost.

We’ve launched Inclusion Pays – a new report showing how Inclusion Health services can prevent crisis, improve outcomes and reduce cost across the system.

Based on our Inclusion Health Refugee and Asylum Seeker Service, the report sets out a practical, delivery-tested model that supports people earlier, reduces pressure on urgent and acute services, and delivers measurable system value – including a return of up to £13 for every £1 invested.

Inclusion Pays brings together the impact of our work and the economic value it delivers. It includes:

  • A fully costed model of delivery
  • Evidence of improved outcomes and reduced system use
  • Case studies from practice
  • Analysis demonstrating a return of up to £13 for every £1 invested
  • A scalable approach that can be applied in other systems

Inclusion Health is not just the right thing to do – it is a smart public investment.
When people are unable to access care early, they are more likely to present in crisis, require urgent or acute intervention, and experience poorer outcomes.

Our model shows how early, coordinated and community-based care:

  • reduces demand on urgent and emergency services
  • supports faster, safer discharge
  • improves patient experience and outcomes
  • delivers measurable system savings

A model that works

  • Working across primary care, community services, acute teams and voluntary partners, this approach:
  • improves access for people excluded from traditional services
  • strengthens safeguarding and continuity of care
  • supports public health through early detection and intervention
  • prevents avoidable A&E attendance and hospital admissions

Inclusion Pays is the first in a series. We are now applying this model to other Inclusion Health groups – building the evidence base and supporting wider system adoption.
