Healthcare without barriers
Through dedicated outreach and advocacy, our Equity Team—including professionals with expertise through lived experience—works to bring essential healthcare services directly to individuals who are often unregistered with a GP and face barriers to primary care.
Building on established relationships with local Traveller communities, we continue to develop new connections and expand the programme to provide a range of vital services, such as vaccinations and health checks, in homes and community spaces. This approach ensures culturally sensitive and accessible care.
Beyond direct healthcare provision, the team is also focused on training other healthcare professionals to better understand and support GRT communities. By sharing specialist knowledge and collaborating with key partners, this initiative aims to drive long-term improvements in health outcomes for GRT individuals and families.
