Inclusion Health – Advocacy

Navigating care, together

Navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming—especially for individuals who face complex challenges or feel unheard. Our team provides dedicated advocacy support to make sure everyone receives the care they are entitled to, in a way that meets their needs.

We listen, we act, and we stand alongside people—whether that means signposting to the relevant service, helping someone register with a GP, accompany them to an appointment, chase up referrals, or make sure their voice is heard in care planning.

Advocacy is about removing barriers, amplifying voices, and ensuring individuals are treated with dignity and respect. We work closely with healthcare providers, local authorities, and community partners to coordinate care and champion fair access for all.

Examples of advocacy in action:

  • Helping a non-English-speaking patient understand appointment letters and liaising with services to arrange interpreters.

  • Supporting a young person leaving care to stay on a mental health pathway after moving to a new area.

  • Speaking up for someone facing discrimination in a healthcare setting and ensuring their complaint is heard and addressed.

  • Accompanying a survivor of domestic abuse to a GP appointment and helping communicate their health concerns in a safe and supportive way.

  • Making sure a person experiencing homelessness isn’t removed from an NHS waiting list due to lack of a fixed address.
