Training for frontline staff supporting children’s mental health

NHS frontline staff and volunteers that come into contact with children and young people can access a new psychological first aid training course developed by Public Health England (PHE). The free online course will help staff develop skills and confidence in providing psychological support to children and young people during crises situations such as COVID-19. The training focuses on helping them feel safe, connected, and supported, and prevent problems from occurring or worsening.

The objective of the workshop is to improve the ability to identify individuals who are suicidal and provide support to those individuals

E-learning for Healthcare

Health Education Englands e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) have released a Covid-19 training package which is free for all to access. The requirement to login has been removed but is important to note that if you wish to track your progress then you will need to sign in. There are packages tailored to different staffing groups which can be accessed here
