Local GP Federation, Alliance for Better Care (ABC), has launched a healthcare campaign in Crawley aimed at helping men to not only identify their health needs, but also provide them with a supporting environment to access healthcare information and guidance.
The pilot scheme begins on 19th October, with sessions running for six weeks from the Crawley Museum on the town’s High Street on Wednesdays; and also in Crawley’s Queens Square on Mondays. Timings for each session vary but can be checked via the dedicated page on the ABC website:
Onsite attendees will be able to access:
- Wellbeing checks
- Referrals for NHS checks
- Blood pressure checks
- Pulse checks
- Help with registering at a GP Practice
- Information about prostate cancer
- Referrals for general health concerns
Jeredyne Stanley, Equity Development Manager at Alliance for Better Care said:
“We want to provide an open and relaxed space within which local men can come and discuss any health queries or concerns. It’s so important that men are informed about their health and our team are on hand to not only offer advice but to signpost them to the appropriate services should they need them.”
